Armaan Kirmani is a British Asian Actor and Director from London, England. Having graduated with a Law degree from Queens' college at the University of Cambridge, Armaan trained as an actor at the Actor Prepares Institute run by veteran Indian actor Anupam Kher in London and Mumbai before going to RADA in 2010.
Having vast experience of working in film and in theatre, He made his debut in Bollywood with Nikhil Advani's Patiala House alongside Akshay Kumar as 'Jassi'. Armaan received considerable critical acclaim for his portrayal of 'Jassi'. Armaan's next film is a smaller independent British Asian film, London Life which has been directed by debutant Naveen Medaram who has previously been involved in the post production process for high budget Hollywood films such as Iron Man 2, The Dark Knight and Harry Potter. Aside from acting, Armaan is also a Writer, Director and Film Producer. Having a passion for theatre as well as film, Armaan performed as the Lead Actor at the 2010 London Literature Festival at Southbank in Tahmima Anam's A Golden Age and went on to Direct his debut theatre production at London's Rudolf Steiner Theatre, 'Project Runway' in September 2010.
In 2011, Armaan founded Colour Portfolio in association with Powerhouse Studios. Colour Pictures is the natural progression into Production and Direction for Armaan. 'Shortcut' Directed by Natasha Barber released on the festival circuit in 2010, which was followed by Karma which is due for release in Autumn 2011. Soulmates' will mark the Directorial Debut on Film for Armaan which completed its shooting schedule in July 2011 and is currently in Post Production.
