Synopsis:

Soulmates is a film which reflects modern British Asian and Immigrant relationships. What happens when we get married before we are ready? What happens to those people who have been part of our lives for many years but did not have the capacity to commit? Does marriage always mean happily ever after or is marriage just the beginning of a new journey full of trials and tribulations. The film is made with Western Production value which has retained its Eastern soul. It is not really Bollywood and not British Asian - somewhere in a space in between... a space where reality lies. Soulmates follows the lives of IMAD, TANYA, XARA and SAMEER who each have a distinct personality. Does every relationship demand sacrifices or should we be more careful about choosing a partner that has a compatible way of thinking and personality?

Further Information:

Colour Pictures wanted to Produce 'Soulmates - a small film with a big heart' in order to share our creative vision with fellow industry professionals and gauge the reaction to the film from selected audiences. The intention is to use Soulmates as a pitch for a feature film presentation, telefilm or long drama series on a television network. We hope that Soulmates will attract funding, interest from distributors and sales agents as well as television networks and production houses who may be interested in commissioning larger projects in order to work creatively alongside Colour Pictures in the future.
